Neighborhood Delegates Elections

Pursuant to Article 3.6 of the Sweetwater Covenant, the Declarant and Board of Directors is seeking candidates to serve as Neighborhood Delegates and Alternate Neighborhood Delegates for each neighborhood in the Sweetwater Master Community. Interested candidates must be a homeowner or a lot owner in Sweetwater Master Community and be in good standing with the Association.

The role of the Neighborhood Delegate is intended to streamline and equalize representation for each neighborhood within the community. Delegates are not members of the Board of Directors and thus do not have such powers, however, they serve a crucial role in communicating on behalf of their neighbors collectively. Currently, the responsibilities of this volunteer role is to communicate with and on behalf of the residents within the neighborhood. The Delegate also represents and marshals the positive support of their neighbors for the bettering of Sweetwater. Importantly, the Neighborhood Delegates are responsible for casting votes for Resident Director elections on behalf of their neighborhood.

Within 120 days after 1350 homes/lots are owned by residents; the Neighborhood Delegates will cast votes from the neighborhood they represent for the election of the first Resident Board Member to join the Board of Directors. Sweetwater Master Community is approximately 100 homes away from 1350 owner-occupied homes. At full transition by the Declarant, the Delegates will cast votes on behalf of their neighborhood for the remaining Resident Board Member seats.
